Lobbies · prototype · v0.1 · made for gamers

Released March 16, 2010 · 4A Games
Metro 2033 is a first-person shooter with survival horror elements, based on the Russian book of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Most of the game takes place underground, but several times Artyom will have to venture outside, into the perpetual nuclear winter. Game progression is fairly linear, though areas may be explored more thoroughly for items and ammunition. Setpieces include a few on-rails sequences, missions that involve defending a location from an onslaught of monsters, and others. A few stages can be completed in a stealthy fashion.

Free deal makes classic FPS Metro 2033 explode on Steam, and it's still cheap

Marking 15 years of the apocalyptic survival FPS series, developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver gave away copies of the original game's remastered edition, and it's had a surprisingly big impact. Previously peaking at just under 15,000 active…

15 years on from the release of Metro 2033 , I still think with fondness and yearning of the Uboinik automatic shotgun. It’s a six chamber cylindrical affair with mouthwatering red shells that dangle before your trigger finger like pert, juicy plums. This is just to say / I have shot / the shells /…
